As an interstate teacher, we provide relocation assistance for you and your family for all permanent appointments, and fixed term appointments of one school year or more. This includes your travel, and relocating your furniture, personal effects and vehicles when moving to a rural, regional or remote school. 

As a rural, regional or remote teacher, you may also be eligible for free or subsidised housing, depending on availability and the location of your appointment.

We will support you with any COVID-19 quarantine requirements, prior to commencement in your new role, in line with the WA Government instructions at the time of your appointment.

Teachers are recruited all year round, in all disciplines. Public school principals can advertise their positions directly on JobsWA.

How you become a teacher in WA

If you are not currently registered to teach in WA check in with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia to find out what you need to do. It is likely that if you hold teacher registration in your home state you will be eligible to apply for registration in WA through mutual recognition.
