Teacher Flying Squad - Live chat
Join us for a live chat and learn how you can join our team. We are seeking eligible and qualified teachers available during the 2023 school year. As a member of the Teacher Flying Squad, you will have the chance to fill short-term teaching vacancies in various schools. Appointments typically last between 4 and 10 weeks, allowing you to broaden your teaching experience in different environments.

Remote Connection Program - Live chat
The Remote Connection Program offers teachers who are currently employed with the Department of Education WA the opportunity for a 2-week placement where they can experience classroom teaching while living in a remote community first-hand. It’s a great way to find out if a career in a remote school is for you. Our live chat will take you through how to apply and allow you to talk with our team and ask questions about the program. You will also hear from a teacher who has completed the program and a current remote principal who wants you to join their school and community.

Remote Teaching Service - Virtual information session
Join us to learn more about our Remote Teaching Service and the amazing opportunities to live and teach in remote areas across WA. You will be able to move between the online breakout rooms and get advice from expert presenters in that area. You will get to chat with:
- current principals of our remote public schools
- staff in our Teach in WA and Housing and Transport teams
- staff from our Aboriginal Education Teaching and Learning team.

Leap program information session
Our Leap program gives both new and existing teachers opportunities to gain further qualifications to teach in additional specialist areas or move into a new area of teaching.
Through Department-funded training and support, you will be able to expand your teaching skills and knowledge, positioning yourself to take advantage of the exciting opportunities in our schools.
Entry and Orientation program
The Entry and Orientation program is a 2-day program designed to support teachers commencing with the Department of Education after returning from long leave, interstate or overseas positions.
Participants will develop an understanding of current best practice in Western Australian public schools.
