Janine has a clear focus on developing highly effective schools by creating stimulating and engaging learning environments for students.
She fosters and encourages teamwork, collaboration, high quality teaching and innovative practices that respond to the needs and aspirations of students and their families. She is experienced in leading changes in curriculum, community partnerships, facility developments, school communications and branding.
She is a dynamic and strategic leader, with extensive experience in a range of education leadership roles including being principal of highly complex schools. Janine has led two schools to take on increased autonomy and become Independent Public Schools. Under her leadership, Cassia Primary School was named WA Primary School of the Year in 2013.
Janine identifies and extends the strengths of staff, creating conditions under which high quality teaching and learning prosper to raise student achievement at all levels and all stages. Assisted by her mentoring, a teacher of Bungaree Primary School was named WA Primary School Teacher of The Year in 2016. Janine is experienced in leading principal networks and has high expectations of staff to achieve positive results for their students.
