As a leader of change, Dainon has focused on developing a positive and dynamic culture at Busselton Senior High School. Before Busselton, he was deputy principal at Ballajura Community College and also had leadership roles in England.

His international and local experiences have shaped his belief that sound education practices – based on shared values and inclusive leadership – have a positive impact on student outcomes and school performance.

In 2015, Dainon won the inaugural Fogarty Foundation Success through Educational Excellence Prize as the graduate with the highest aggregate mark for the four core units of the Master of School Leadership.

Dainon aligns strategic and operational planning, analyses data, links targets to accountability measures, monitors systems and evaluates processes. He is passionate about creating collaborative professional learning communities focused on student achievement and developing interventions to ensure all students succeed.

Dainon’s interpersonal and mentoring skills have built leadership and teacher capacity at both school and system levels. He has a proven ability to research, produce and articulate change projects and build relationships with stakeholders.
