Carolyn has been principal of Subiaco Primary School since 2010 and has built a strong school community by valuing, respecting and encouraging authentic community engagement. Under her leadership initiatives at the school are creative and varied such as the inclusion of the Teacher Development Schools STEM innovation partnership.  

Carolyn’s extensive professional career has seen her work at schools on Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands as well as in remote Aboriginal community schools and schools in the Pilbara, Kimberley and Wheatbelt. 

Carolyn’s change project focused on school self-assessment tool for School Improvement and Accountability. She conducted focus groups with schools leaders to gain their perspectives on what system level data is useful, and what data, information and support they would like to see available at a system level.
