Regional Education Strategy

On 6 November 2025, the Education Minister, Hon Sabine Winton MLA released the Regional Education Strategy. Refer to the media statement about Principals' on-the-job support boosted with new regional plan.

The strategy sets aspirations for students in the 6 regions outside the Perth metropolitan area. It accommodates the differences in school contexts and communities across Western Australia.

It outlines new and current initiatives built on 4 pillars:

• Pillar 1: Building and supporting our regional workforce
• Pillar 2: Expanding curriculum delivery
• Pillar 3: Strengthening support for student wellbeing
• Pillar 4: Developing partnerships
