Programs and locations
VacSwim programs range from 5 to 10 days in length. Your child can learn to swim in a safe and enjoyable environment at venues across WA.
While enrolments are open, we can only give you a window of time during which we'll schedule lessons for each program. We finalise lesson times and send enrolment notifications to families 2 weeks before the program starts. We don’t provide refunds if you find the lesson time unsuitable.
Enrolments for the October programs are now open and close on Wednesday 14 August 2024.
October program
- Wednesday 25 September to Friday 4 October 2024
- 8 days, 45-minute lessons
- Standard price is $32 for a single child and $85.50 for a family
- Concession price is $20.50 for a single child and $57.00 for a family
- Runs in the morning at most venues

October short program
- Monday 30 September to Friday 4 October 2024
- 5 days, 35-minute lessons
- Standard price is $16.50 for a single child and $43.50 for a family
- Concession price is $11.50 for a single child and $29 for a family
- Runs in the afternoon at most venues, usually between 12:25 pm and 3:25 pm

Country early start program
- Monday 16 to Sunday 22 December 2024 (includes Saturday and Sunday)
- 7 days, 45-minute lessons
January program 1
- Monday 6 to Friday 17 January 2025
- 10 days, 35-minute lessons
January short program
- Monday 13 to Friday 17 January 2025
- 5 days, 35-minute lessons
January program 2
- Monday 20 January to Thursday 30 January 2025 (no lesson on public holiday Monday 27 January)
- 8 days, 45-minute lessons
You can use our map to find programs on offer at venues near you.
- Open the Venue location map.
- Select the door icon from the top left of the map. A menu with a list will appear.
- Select the box next to the name of the program you're interested in. A list of venues will appear beneath the program name in the menu. The map will also populate with icons.
- You can either:
- select a venue from the list in the menu and its location will load on the map
- select an icon on the map and the venue will appear on the list in the menu.
- Once you find a program and venue, you're ready to enrol in VacSwim.
Program prices don't include venue entry fees for students and spectators. Most pools charge an entry fee. You will find specific pool entry fees when you enrol.
At most pools, children need adult supervision. VacSwim instructors have a shared duty of care for children in the lessons while it runs. You need to be poolside to provide personal care for your child and in case of an emergency.
Lessons are at indoor and outdoor venues so we encourage all children to be sun-smart.
