Applications for the 2027 intake are now open.
Applications are now open for the 2027 intake. Depending on your child’s year, you can apply for:
- Year 7 in 2027
- Year 9 in 2027
- Year 10 in 2027
- Year 11 in 2027
Applications close 6 pm Friday 6 February 2026.
To lodge your application, complete the online application form. Follow the instructions on this page.
When you apply, you (the parent or carer) acknowledge that you have read and accepted the:
- Applicant guidelines – Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance programs for entry to Years 7, 9, 10 and 11 in 2027
- key dates.
Choose preferences
Your child’s online application must include a maximum of 3 preferences for Gifted and Talented programs from the options:
- academic
- arts
- languages.
Preferences can be a combination of program areas (for example, academic and arts) or a single area (for example, academic).
Carefully consider your choice of preferences on the online application, as these will determine the testing. We invite your child to attend. Your child will only be considered for programs they have completed testing for.
While all programs are available for Year 7 entry, some programs may not be available for entry to Years 9, 10 and 11 due to available vacancies. Further information regarding:
