A program coordinator focussed on achieving stronger academic outcomes for disengaged students, has been awarded the Department’s 2024 Women of Achievement Award.
At a special breakfast this morning, North Lake Senior Campus’s Fremantle Fast Track Program Coordinator Dr Antionette Morris was honoured as a part of the Department’s International Women’s Day celebrations.
Dr Morris coordinates the off-site program that provides personalised, flexible learning in a purpose-built facility.

The focus is on assisting each individual student to engage and flourish in an educational program that supports their personalised pathway to future education, training, or employment.
"The most important thing is to actually listen to the young person," Dr Morris said as she received the award.
"Put the young person at the centre of everything you do; that's where you start; really listen and build a strong team around that young person.
"Don't underestimate that one moment you have in front of another human being, especially a young person. Because you can change their lives.
"I hope this award shines a light that these programs are valuable and there is a place for them in our public education system."
