We are committed to your professional growth and development and offer professional learning that is responsive to your needs and the diverse requirements of students and schools.

Graduate Teachers

One of the benefits of starting your career in public education is that you’ll be supported to transition from university. We will help you to build your teaching skills, effectiveness and confidence. Our graduate teacher induction program is the only comprehensive support program in the state and has been specifically designed to meet your needs as an early career teacher.

Recognising our exemplary teachers and aspirant leaders

We offer many opportunities to teachers with leadership skills and aspirations.

  • Our Level 3 Classroom Teacher program is unique and acknowledged across Australia for rewarding and recognising exemplary teaching practice. Level 3 Classroom Teachers are our highest paid teachers and play an important role in leading high quality teaching in their school and our system.
  • School leadership professional development programs – we are committed to the early identification and support for our future school leaders.
  • For over 10 years the WA Education Awards have celebrated our inspiring and outstanding staff and schools.
  • Teaching in rural, regional and remote schools can offer you a broader range of diverse professional experiences which may lead to early career advancement.
