A new cohort of 16 exceptional students has been chosen to join the Western Australia Student Council.
Along with those remaining from 2025, they will make up the council membership of 27 students. The new members were chosen through a rigorous selection process.
Promise Chibwe from Newman Senior High School is one of the 16 students selected to join the council.
Representing the different regions of WA, these students were nominated for their outstanding leadership skills, academic and cultural contributions, and commitment to making a positive difference in their school communities.
The council, established in 2022, is made up of Year 10 and 11 public school students who serve as a bridge between their peers and the Department of Education.
