Hi everyone.

Today is World Teachers’ Day and I just wanted to give a huge shout-out to all of the incredible teachers out there in our public schools across Western Australia.

You know better than anyone that teaching is more than just a job. You help young people discover who they are, who they will become and set them on a path that can take them anywhere.

School is such a special place where students learn about more than just their subjects, it’s where they explore new ideas, develop confidence and build resilience.

And that’s why teaching is one of the most noble professions there is.

It’s also one that asks a lot from you and the way you step up every single day is simply inspiring.

From our little ones in kindy, to the young adults about to make the leap into life after school and every student in between. The powerful difference you make is one that lasts a lifetime.

You bring curiosity and creativity to every classroom, and you do it with care and compassion for every one of your students.

So, hats off to you our amazing teachers, and thank you.
