Four Western Australian public schools have been selected for a transformative 4-year trial that will connect students and families with greater services and supports.

The Connected Community School trial, starting in 2026, aims to connect education with community, health and social services.

Four schools were selected to take part in the trial that is designed to help meet the needs of students, their families and the wider community.

As part of the Connected Community School trial, there is a particular focus on partnerships and shared design approaches to meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and families.

The trial will also bring the community into the school, with the community using school facilities after the school day. This may include sporting groups, community language groups and community organisations.

The schools selected for the trial, which will start in 2026, are:

  • Ashburton Drive Primary School
  • Clarkson Primary School
  • Girrawheen Senior High School
  • Roebourne District High School.
