Facilities

The college is an oasis in the Kimberley with private rooms, a swimming pool, recreation rooms, sports facilities, study areas and landscaped gardens.

Accommodation for students is spread across 6 dormitories. Senior girls and senior boys (Years 11 and 12), middle girls and boys (Years 9 and 10) and junior girls and boys (Years 7 and 8).

Sleep-over facilities for staff are in the junior dorms to ensure our youngest students have access to staff at any time day or night.

A typical bedroom at Broome Residential CollegeBroome Residential College is a modern facility with all the comforts of home for your children. The college accommodation includes purpose-built dormitories, a state-of-the-art recreation hall, a swimming pool and a full-size basketball court.

Comfortable, spacious and beautifully designed, each room is air-conditioned and has a study desk and storage. Senior dorms have their own bath and laundry facilities. Supervisors are in every dorm and dorms are cleaned daily by professional cleaners.

Our accommodation is divided into separate areas based on gender, with junior and senior dorms.

A large common room for all students has been fitted out with comfortable seating, including couches and giant bean bags which are perfect for weekend movie nights.

There are large televisions with Foxtel and a dining hall for students to have meals in.

Each dorm has a separate lounge area that includes a kitchenette with a sink, cold filtered drinking water and a microwave. There are decked courtyards and plenty of shaded outdoor space for students to hang out together and enjoy the lovely Broome weather.

Broome Residential College boarder playing on the college drumkit.Your child has a range of recreational facilities to use while boarding at the college. We offer a large and spacious hall equipped with a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, large screen projector, comfortable seating and a big screen television.

There is also a sound-proof music room with drums, guitars, microphones and sound system as well as a gaming console for up to 4 players.

Outside there is a full-sized under cover basketball court with spectator seating, a tennis wall, gym equipment, a 15 metre swimming pool which can be enjoyed year round, and a large grassed area for footy, soccer, obstacle courses and games.

Students can access free wifi around the college grounds and in dorms.

Students who attend St Mary's College are driven to and from school by our staff in the college buses.
