The Director General determines the days in each year on which government schools are to be open for educational instruction of students.

This policy provides procedures and advice to assist school staff understand their responsibilities and supports informed decision-making in family disputes.

The principal or college manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of a public school or residential facility, including providing for the safety and welfare of students, staff and visitors on the site.

The Department is one of the few government agencies providing secure parking for staff and visitors. Parking facilities provided to Department staff are considered to be a privilege and not an entitlement.

This Schedule provides the endorsement and approvals required to meet the minimum requirements of the Procurement Act 2020 (WA), General Procurement Directions and the Western Australian Procurement Rules (WAPR) when procuring goods, services and community services, or disposing of goods.
