This policy provides procedures and advice for the enrolment of students in public schools.

The procedures contain information and guidelines for a broad range of land based and aquatic activities undertaken on or off school sites to assist teachers in meeting their duty of care responsibilities to students.

This policy explains what ‘duty of care’ means, how teaching staff may discharge their duty of care to students, and circumstances in which non-teaching staff, external providers and volunteers may owe students a duty of care.
