Churchlands Senior High School

We have a strong tradition of excellence at Churchlands Senior High School, built on the outstanding academic, cultural and sporting achievements of our students and the dedication and passion of our staff.

Students will be challenged to achieve their personal best in the caring and supportive environment at Churchlands Senior High School. Up to 60 different nationalities comprise our diverse student population at Churchlands Senior High School, with all encouraged to become active citizens in the local and global community.

We live by our school motto, “Aim High”, preparing our students for a bright and successful future in the 21st Century.

Churchlands offers a wide range of facilities including a state-of-the-art gymnasium, 25m heated swimming pool, purpose built acoustically designed concert hall with seating for 504 people, an auditorium, netball, volleyball, tennis and basketball courts, football fields and dance studios.

Students have the unique opportunity to be part of our highly acclaimed music program, supported by the school’s new world class concert hall.

We also offer English, mathematics, technology, science, humanities and social sciences, the arts, languages, and Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Chinese is one of the three languages taught at the school. English as an additional language support is provided to those students who have recently arrived in Perth and require extra assistance in their studies.

A wide range of sporting programs is also available including swimming, netball, football and basketball.

We also offer numerous co-curricular activities such as public speaking, debating, surfing, chess and environmental and community projects

We want our students to come to school feeling happy, safe and looked after. Our student services centre includes a school psychologist, a full-time nurse, school chaplain, student support officer and a learning support coordinator.

We also have a dedicated, full-time and qualified career practitioner to help students make career decisions.

Located less than two kilometres from the ocean and 10 kilometres from the Perth city centre, our school is easily accessed by bus and train networks and the local area features many recreational facilities and a major shopping centre with cinemas.
