This year RREAC will hold its regional meeting in Kalgoorlie from 29 - 31 October. The meeting will be based at the Regional Education Office in Kalgoorlie. Mr Ken Perris, Regional Education Director, Mr Robert Hicks CEO Goldfields Esperance Development commission and Ms Sarah Fletcher, Goldfields Esperance Development Commission have been invited to address the Council.

A comprehensive program is being developed and will focus on RREAC's 2014 priorities including:

  • regional development
  • attraction and retention of quality teachers
  • vocational education and training in schools
  • Aboriginal education and training: Christian Aboriginal Parent-Directed School Coolgardie; Lands School
  • School of the Air.

RREAC is also working with the Aboriginal Education and Training Council with the purpose of combining aspects of the regional meeting in Kalgoorlie
