CEO Instruction Ceasing - Entry Restrictions No. 1.1 to a Health Care Facility - School of Special Educational Needs: Medical and Mental Health
1. Introduction 1.1 The Chief Health Officer of Western Australia (CHO) issued, under section 4 of the Public Health Act 2016:
(a) the 'Health Worker (Restrictions on Access) Directions'; and
(b) the 'Booster Vaccination (Restrictions on Access) Directions'.
Collectively the (Restriction Directions).

1.2 The Restriction Directions restricted an employee from entering or remaining at a Health Care Facility, unless the employee had been vaccinated in accordance with the Restriction Directions.
1.3 On 4 November 2022 at 12.01 am the Restriction Directions were revoked.
2. Instruction
2.1 The Director General of Education has authority, pursuant to Section 233 of the School Education Act 1999 (Act), to issue Instructions to persons performing functions for the Department.
2.2 The Director General issued a CEO Instruction to operationalise the Restriction Directions at Health Care Facilities (COVID-19 Instruction).
2.3 This CEO Instruction gives effect to the Restriction Directions for employees entering or remaining at Health Care Facilities. The obligations upon Department employees from COVID-19 lnstruction were applicable until 12:01 am 4 November 2022 after which time the obligations ceased.
