Kids get candid for Father's Day

Ahead of Father’s Day this Sunday, schools have celebrated and thanked dads and carers. We thought we would join in on the fun and ask some of our students to tell us a little bit about their dads. These honest answers will make you smile!

“The best thing about my dad is his silly jokes. He’s a little bit old, crazy and always hungry. My dad does a lot for my family. He likes to cook and clean up for us.” – Matilda, Pre-primary, Victoria Park Primary School

“Three words I would use to describe him are strong, tall, shaved head. The best think about him is that he always lets me play with my Lego.” – Flynn, Pre-primary, Hocking Primary School

“My dad makes our lives fun. He loves playing with kids. My sister and I get lots of awesome time with him. He gets us dinner by going fishing.” – Chloe, Year 6, Hocking Primary School

“On Father’s Day I’m going to hide a special thing I made for him and I am going to keep it a secret.” – Meeya, Pre-primary, Mount Lockyer Primary School

“The best thing about my dad is that I am his son, and I am his hero. He is also my hero and my friend too.” – Advait, Pre-primary, Victoria Primary School

“He gets all the money. For Father’s Day I am going to give him a Frisbee.” – Kasper, Pre-primary, Mount Lockyer Primary School

“On Sunday I am going to let my dad eat ice-cream. I love that he sometimes lets us watch television.” – Seth, Pre-primary, Mount Lockyer Primary School

“My dad plays footy with me after school and every day we go somewhere for breakfast. We love playing sport together. I am going to get him a basketball hoop. He likes playing with me but I always win.” – Archie, Pre-primary, Hocking Primary School

“On Father’s Day, my dad and I will play hide and seek.” – Anabella, Pre-primary, Victoria Park Primary School

“My dad is awesome because he is good at fixing motorbikes. He sometimes takes me riding on them too. On Sunday I’ll probably tuck him into his bed.” – Daniel, Year 1, Mount Lockyer Primary School

“I’m going to thank him for doing everything that we ask him. He has grey hair and likes to play with me. He also catches me when I fall out of bed.” – Heba, Pre-primary, Victoria Park Primary School

“On Father’s Day I am going to say, I love you.” – Indie, Pre-Primary, Mount Lockyer Primary School
