Best and brightest students announced

Nearly 200 top public secondary school students were announced Best and Brightest Award winners at the end of the school year.

The Best and Brightest Award is presented to the top vocational and academic Year 12 student in each public secondary school who meet eligibility criteria. Each winner receives a $1000 cash prize.

David Axworthy, Deputy Director General, Schools congratulated recipients.

“This award recognises public education at its best” Mr Axworthy said.

“We have high expectations of our students and are committed to building a culture of high performance and high care.

“These students have performed well and were supported by their school community – their contribution has been imperative to student success.”
