19 February 2020

On 19 February 2020, Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Hon Michael McCormack MP, visited Moora Residential College with Hon Martin Aldridge MLC, Member for Agricultural Region and Hon Mia Davies MLA, Member for Central Wheatbelt and Leader of The Nationals WA.

The purpose of the visit was to view progress of the college’s building upgrade and provide students with a question and answer opportunity.

After touring the college, the visiting party met with all college students in the Central Midlands Senior High School Library.

The students were very impressed with how down to earth and approachable Mr McCormack was, and were interested to hear he came from a small town background very similar to many of our students.

Thank you to Ms Hewitt for making the school facilities available for the question and answer session, and to Jack VV and Tyler for providing the college with a vast number of photos as a momento of this special visit.
