Life at Hampton Senior High School
At Hampton Senior High School, there is a vibrant and inclusive community where students from all backgrounds come together to learn and grow. The curriculum is designed to challenge and engage students, offering a range of programs that foster both academic and creative excellence. A team of experienced teachers lead the English as an additional language or dialect (EALD) area, with the Year 11 EALD English ATAR and General courses joining our suite of curriculum offerings from 2026.
Additionally, students can participate in school-based enrichment programs in Applied and Extension Science, Maths, English, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) and the Athletics Academy. A variety of extra-curricular activities further enhance student life, fostering personal growth, teamwork and lifelong friendships.
There is a Specialised Learning Program (SLP) for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which supports the individual needs of students and aims to provide a greater opportunity for engagement. The Year 7 to 12 program provides education and support for the social and emotional development of students with ASD who have the potential to achieve academic success in mainstream schooling and beyond.
Support for students
School staff recognise and support the unique experiences of international students. Students at Hampton Senior High School can access comprehensive support services to ensure a smooth transition and successful academic journey. The student services team guides on academic matters, personal wellbeing and career planning. There is a homework club at the school where students can access teachers and peers twice a week to support them in achieving their academic goals.
The Positive Behaviour Support framework is followed at the school, promoting respectful, responsible and resilient behaviour among students.
