Year 11 and 12 students (and even a few younger ones) have been undertaking exams as part of their studies recently.
Students can get a bit nervous or overwhelmed during these periods and it is important that they continue to take care of themselves by eating healthily and getting enough sleep.
College Manager Ruth Davis says students undertaking exams are fully supported at the College to give them the best chance of doing well.
"They have dedicated quiet areas for independent study, transport to tutoring/group study sessions, access to healthy snacks and lunch on the days they are at the College and a listening ear as staff check-in to see if they are okay.
It certainly can be a stressful time for them but with a regular routine such as one that we have here, and support from the supervisors and peers, we can help support these students in their endeavours,” says Ruth.
The team at Geraldton Residential College continues to be flexible to support students and do their best to accommodate requests to suit individual needs.
