2017 Premier's Anzac Student Tour

2017 Premier's Anzac Student Tour

The 2017 Premier's Anzac Student Tour commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Fall of Singapore.

The tour visited important historical sites, before attending Anzac Day commemorations at Kranji War Memorial where 4 461 Commonwealth casualties of World War II are buried.

Students from Years 8 to 11 from 39 secondary schools entered the competition, writing essays on Australia’s involvement in World War II and how this has shaped relations with the Asia region today.

The 10 student ambassadors for the Premier's Anzac Student Tour 2017 engaged in a historical inquiry process where they focused on Strife and Struggle throughout World War II.
