Roebourne District High School

Roebourne District High School

We are investing in the community of Roebourne, with the redevelopment of the Roebourne District High School.

All planning for this redevelopment will carry the voices of, and be led by, people in the Roebourne community. We are working with students, families, staff and the community to plan facilities and programs for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. To achieve this, our team will visit Roebourne to listen, gather ideas and hear feedback from across the community.

The new design will provide opportunities for staff and students to build on their learning and understanding of Aboriginal history, culture, and language; alongside the curriculum.

This is consistent with Roebourne District High School’s motto of ‘Learning together’.

Upgrades will also be made to the adjacent TAFE campus.

Stages of the project

Have your say

Our team will be taking every opportunity to meet with community members to keep them up to date and hear any feedback. This feedback will shape the facilities and learning programs available at the school in the future.

Concept design

The team will explore different ideas by sketching, drawing and modelling ideas. Workshops will be held with the community throughout this period to show them initial designs for feedback.

Detailed design

A number of sessions will be held to refine the initial design, alongside the community.

Documentation and final design

The team will meet with the community to showcase the final agreed design and will progress and finalise documentation.

Building is expected to begin mid-2022 with redevelopment finalised January 2025.
