Marani is a proud Jabirr Jabirr Njikena woman from Broome who believes everyone can achieve their dreams. 

She moved to Fremantle as a child and went to school at White Gum Valley Primary School and John Curtin College of the Arts.

Marani then went on to study at UWA where she gained a cadetship at the WA Museum Boola Bardip.
