The Department is one of the few government agencies providing secure parking for staff and visitors. Parking facilities provided to Department staff are considered to be a privilege and not an entitlement.

The principal or college manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of a public school or residential facility, including providing for the safety and welfare of students, staff and visitors on the site.

The policy ensures a consistent approach to incident management across school and non-school sites, regions and at Central Services.
