With 19 years of experience as a principal in country and metropolitan schools, Chris has extensive knowledge and understanding of public education in Western Australia. 

Chris engages his staff and community to create a positive and productive environment in which all can achieve their potential.

He is an experienced leader of the large, complex and highly successful Willetton Senior High School. An Independent Public School, it was WA Secondary School of the Year in 2011 and is regularly ranked in the top 20 schools in the State for academic achievement.

Chris is a skilled pastoral care leader who is committed to building students’ physical, social and cultural wellbeing. He has used his teaching background in science, mathematics and technology to initiate and implement strategies for a technology-focused school.

He is a proven change manager and leader of workplace reform through reviewing school data, formulating change strategies and developing organisational cultural change management strategies.  He implements strategies to engage staff through distributed leadership in improving their performance in relation to student, school and system targets.
