State of the art facilities

Outstanding learning in state of the art facilities.

Bob Hawke College includes technologically advanced and multipurpose facilities for students.

The college has been designed with both its setting and its community in mind – an inner city education facility for families that embrace inner city living. The college’s environmental footprint has been minimised through the use of three storey buildings that are universally accessible and incorporate passive design principles.

The first stage of building is now ready for Year 7 students in 2020 and include general classrooms; specialist workshops, laboratories and studios for science, technology, engineering, design and food courses; health and physical education learning areas; student services; a library resource centre; a lecture theatre; and a cafeteria with terraced dining area. Internal courtyards and playing courts will enhance the campus.

The second stage is being planned and will complete the college’s infrastructure with additional general classrooms, a performing arts centre and visual arts studios.

The college will share Subiaco Oval with the community, giving students the use of this iconic, world class venue for sporting activities.

Open spaces, trees and natural light for students to enjoy before, during and after school are a crucial part of the college’s design. Nearby is beautiful Mueller Park, full of shady trees, picnic areas and a playground that is popular with local families.

Subiaco is at the heart of the population growth in the western suburbs.

Bob Hawke College is part of an exciting transformation of the area around Subiaco Oval which will become a new education, leisure and residential destination close to Perth’s CBD.

Centrally located and easily accessible for students, the college offers families the convenience of schooling in an urban environment. Subiaco is an established suburb with a mix of residential and commercial areas. Heritage and contemporary architecture abound and echo the diversity of the community and the vitality of the suburb.

Train stations in Subiaco and West Leederville are within walking distance of the college. There will also be bus bays on Roberts Road and a drop off zone on Coghlan Road.
